Polar is now in ChatGPT and Claude

You can now operate your entire software business end-to-end through voice, text or agents, since every feature and capability in the Polar platform is available through our MCP.

Our MCP, paired with a few skills, can also set up an entire Polar account, from signup to configuring your pricing, entitlements, meters, credits and more. From there it can integrate it all directly in your codebase, test it in a sandbox environment, and even assist with migrations from other billing platforms.

All of these capabilities are now directly available as an official plugin in ChatGPT and an approved MCP server in Claude.

Just run the following within Claude:

/plugin install polar --marketplace polarsource/agent-toolkit

Of course, our MCP can be used in any harness with MCP support too. Check out our docs for installation steps in Cursor, OpenCode and others.

The future we're designing for

We consider MCP, CLI and API the most important touchpoints between Polar and our merchants.

Our dashboard continues to be designed with care, but we believe it will increasingly be used for analytics, simulations (soon) and other surfaces that benefit from a helicopter view of the business.

Day-to-day configuration changes and customer support actions will increasingly be done through agents, using our MCP under the hood.

Imagine you're on the go and a new email comes in. One of your most loyal customers ran into a new bug in the product, and to make matters worse, 10 credits were still deducted from their balance despite the issue. You want to fix it and patch things up with the customer right away, but you're on your way to a meeting and your laptop is at home.

Less than a year ago, the best you could do was quickly acknowledge the issue in an email and promise to follow up later in the day once it was fixed.

Today you can open Claude, ChatGPT or any other harness you prefer and hand the problem to an agent. Before you arrive at your meeting, the agent has:

• Debugged the issue
• Pushed a fix in a PR
• Topped up the customer's balance with the 10 credits, plus 10 more as a bonus
• Drafted a response, ready to send

The distance between intent and action has never been shorter, and it's an exciting and empowering future to run a business in.
