An idea from our user (note that it requires OM working in the background, which is not done yet, see #573):
My RECOMMENDATION for an innovative implementation:
In pedestrian mode, it would be very helpful to get a VIBRATION announcement before the oral navigation message will be delivered.
Reason: When walking, people usually hold the phone in their hand and in noisy city environments the oral message in the speaker can be missed otherwise.
So: 1st vibration (as an announcement), 2nd oral navigation instruction (as already existing in the app).
Advanced improvement:
RIGHT-hand turns announced by one long vibration (β)
[like the Morse sign for T referring to Turn],
LEFT-hand turns announced by two short vibrations (- -)
as contrast [resp. the beginning of the Morse sing L],
OTHER info (e.g. roundabout, half-turn, etc.): long-long (β β).
