To reproduce:
- Set night mode to Auto.
- Start well before sunset.
- Calculate a long route (with an arrival time well after sunset).
- Depart and watch the screen.
- Optionally, repeat for a scenario in which you are on the road during sunrise.
Expected result:
Navigation starts in day mode during daytime, night mode at night. Around sunrise/sunset, the mode changes automatically.
Actual result:
Day/night mode is determined when navigation starts but never changed. If you start at noon and arrive at midnight, OM uses day mode for the entire time. This may be undesirable on long trips (but hardly noticeable on short ones).

Additional information:
Not sure how day/night mode is determined (time of day vs. sunrise/sunset times?) – another option might be to use the ambient light sensor (if present). That would allow us to switch to night mode e.g. when in a tunnel.
