We currently only automatically detect editions to our own manifest. If the manifest of a linked crate is edited, we aren't aware, requiring the user to run an alr update after such an edition.
We may want to recursively check manifest timestamps of linked crates to detect changes in these manifests and re-resolve. This will require to store the timestamps of linked crate manifests in our lockfile.
