Manual changes in our manifest trigger an update, but changes in linked crates do not. This sometimes may cause problems with inconsistent solutions, which go away with the needed alr update.
We can, when verifying our up-to-date manifest, recursively check those of linked dependencies.
A typical way of finding this issue is when editing a nested crate that uses the main crate through a .. link, and the main crate adds new dependencies.
