Suggestion: Crate annotations
This is a major one;
Motivation
It would be good to know how backwards compatible a given crate is; I like Ada 95 and even Ada 83.
Suggestion
Have some kind of mechanism for adding annotations to crates. These annotations should not be provided by the maintainer in the toml file.
Usecases
- Language: Ada 2012 / Ada 2007 / Ada 95 / Ada 83 / SPARK14 etc (badges?)
- Positive list of dependancies with versions and compiler/build+version actually building clean on such and such target / environment.
- Add date of publish and release
- Usage statistics if were available.
- etc etc
- Maybe even blog about each crate..
Implementation
Much info could be provided by CI and scripts.
Needs a parallel database of some sort.
