Trying to build a working Serenity disk image on Chrome OS (more precisely inside a Crostini container) is quite difficult because the root user is not as almighty as usual:

mknod
, so I had to run a Tiny Core Linux VM and run parts of build-root-filesystem.sh
to create the device nodesIt would be nice if an unprivileged user could entirely cross-build Serenity (including image generation), assuming dependencies are already installed. NetBSD's build.sh is an example of this ability.
