Watching the recent video from Andreas's YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbfljlLs9-Q), I wanted to start a discussion about the idea of having a different text inside the command palette than the menu it was derived from for the sake of clean and clear presentation.
I was wondering if it would make sense to allow GUI::Action::create
to have an optional full_text
, or similar, which would be used when presented in the menu but not used in the command palette.
In the example from the video, the command palette already shows the user where the action actually comes from. Since the command palette shows these two items in a column, it might make sense to just show "Flip Horizontally" rather than "Flip Layer Horizontally".
I fully recognize that having the full name (ie: current behavior) might just always be better. I just wanted to open the issue to start a discussion.
