# How to Change Your Email

> Learn how to change your email on Polar as a merchant.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open User Settings">
    Open the menu in the bottom-left corner of the dashboard and select `User Settings`.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start the email change">Under `Authentication Settings`, click `Change Email`.</Step>
  <Step title="Enter your new email">Type your new email address into the input field.</Step>

  <Step title="Check your inbox">
    Polar will send a confirmation message to your new address. Open it and click `Update my email`.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm the change">Press `Update the email` to finalize the switch.</Step>
  <Step title="You're done!">Your account email has been updated.</Step>
