# Payment Methods

> Payment methods supported by Polar Checkout

Polar automatically shows the payment methods available for each checkout. The options a customer sees depend on their location, the checkout currency, the type of purchase, and their device or browser.

You don't need to enable individual payment methods.

## Cards and wallets

| Payment method         | Availability                                                                                                   |
| ---------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Credit and debit cards | Worldwide, in every supported currency. One-time purchases and recurring subscriptions                         |
| Apple Pay              | Shown in Safari on an Apple device signed in to an Apple account with Apple Pay configured                     |
| Google Pay             | Shown in Google Chrome when signed in to a Google account with Google Pay configured                           |
| Link                   | Shown to customers who saved their details with Stripe Link, which autofills their payment and address details |
| Amazon Pay             | Customers in the United States and Germany, for checkouts priced in USD                                        |
| Cash App Pay           | Customers in the United States, for checkouts priced in USD                                                    |
| WeChat Pay             | Customers in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao, for checkouts priced in USD or CNY. One-time purchases only |

  **On Polar's hosted checkout, wallets need no setup.** They're enabled by default and appear automatically whenever the customer's device and browser support them.

  Domain validation is only required for [Embedded Checkout](/docs/features/checkout/embed#enable-wallets-in-embedded-checkout), where the checkout runs on your own domain.

## Other payment methods

The list above is everything we support today. There's no setting or plan that unlocks more, and payment methods can't be enabled per organization.

PayPal is by far the most common thing people ask about. We don't have a timeline to share.
