Cu-Cyto GPU Runtime Pack for Windows x64

Cu-Cyto GPU Runtime Pack for Windows x64 is an optional runtime package for enabling GPU acceleration in Cu-Cyto analysis on Windows PCs with compatible NVIDIA GPUs.

This package is provided separately from the Cu-Cyto QuPath Extension and Cu-Cyto model packages.


Who needs this package?

Install this package only if you want to use GPU acceleration.

You may need this package if:

  • you are using Cu-Cyto on a Windows x64 PC;
  • your PC has a compatible NVIDIA GPU;
  • you want faster analysis using GPU acceleration;
  • the Cu-Cyto extension or model package asks you to prepare the GPU runtime.

You do not need this package for CPU-only analysis.

If your PC does not have a compatible NVIDIA GPU, Cu-Cyto can still be used in CPU mode, although analysis may be slower.


What is included

This download package may include:

  • Cu-Cyto-GPU-Runtime-Pack-Windows-x64.zip
    GPU runtime files for Windows x64.

  • installation batch file(s), such as:

    • install_gpu_runtime.bat
    • check_gpu_runtime.bat
  • runtime libraries required for GPU execution;

  • README or instruction files.

The exact file names may vary depending on the package version.


Installation

  1. Download the GPU Runtime Pack.

  2. Extract the ZIP file to a local folder.

    Example:

    C:\Cu-Cyto-GPU-Runtime-Pack-Windows-x64
    
  3. Run the installation batch file included in the extracted folder.

    Example:

    install_gpu_runtime.bat
    
  4. Follow the instructions shown in the command window.

  5. After installation, restart QuPath if it is already running.

  6. Run Cu-Cyto analysis again and check whether GPU execution is available.


Checking the GPU runtime

If a runtime check script is included, you can use it to confirm the GPU runtime status.

Example:

check_gpu_runtime.bat

This may show whether the required GPU runtime files are installed and whether the PC appears ready for GPU execution.


Important notes

  • This package is optional.
  • CPU-only users do not need to install this package.
  • A compatible NVIDIA GPU is required for GPU acceleration.
  • GPU behavior may depend on the Windows environment, GPU driver version, and installed NVIDIA components.
  • If GPU initialization fails, Cu-Cyto may continue using CPU mode depending on the extension and model configuration.
  • The first GPU run may take longer while the runtime is being prepared.

For GPU users, the recommended order is:

  1. Install QuPath.
  2. Install the Cu-Cyto QuPath Extension.
  3. Download and install this GPU Runtime Pack.
  4. Download the required Cu-Cyto model package.
  5. Restart QuPath.
  6. Run Cu-Cyto analysis.

For CPU-only users, skip step 3.


Research use only

This package is provided for research use.

It is not intended for clinical diagnosis, treatment selection, patient management, or any other medical decision-making use.

Users are responsible for validating the software, runtime environment, models, and outputs for their own research environment and purpose.


License and usage terms

Cu-Cyto GPU runtime packages may be distributed under terms separate from the Cu-Cyto QuPath Extension.

The Cu-Cyto QuPath Extension itself is distributed under the GNU General Public License version 3 (GPLv3) to maintain compatibility with QuPath.

Cu-Cyto models, GPU runtime packages, server components, validated model packages, workstation packages, and related commercial services may be distributed under separate terms.

Commercial use of Cu-Cyto Server, validated models, workstation packages, runtime packages, or integration into commercial products or services requires a separate written agreement.
