The Standard tier gives you a component. The Pro tier gives you the component and everything underneath it.

That distinction matters more than it sounds.

What changes with the source code

SolarCalculator is protected by default. The @framerDisableUnlink flag means the Standard version is a black box — you can configure it from the sidebar, but you cannot open it, cannot touch the logic, cannot change what you don't control.

With the Pro tier, the lock is gone.

You get the full TSX source file and the Framer remix link. Every line of code, open. The NREL PVWatts® calculation engine, the state logic, the component architecture — yours to read, modify, and extend however the project requires.

What that actually enables

Change the calculation model. The Standard version uses fixed degradation rates, a 30% ITC, and US-specific assumptions. If your client operates in a different incentive structure, uses a different performance ratio, or wants to model battery storage — you can rewrite that logic directly.

Add or remove inputs. Want a roof size field in square feet? A battery storage toggle? A financing calculator that splits net cost into monthly payments? None of that is possible from the sidebar. All of it is possible from the source.

Integrate directly. Wire the component output to your client's CRM, analytics stack, or internal API without working around the component — work inside it.

Rebrand completely. Beyond colors and typography, the source lets you restructure the layout, rename every label, change the unit system, and ship something that looks nothing like the original if the project calls for it.

Own the component long-term. With the source, you're not dependent on updates from this package. You maintain your own fork, on your own timeline, under your own control.
